A) Ownership:
Naughty Dog was co-founded by childhood friends Andy Gavin and Jason Rubin in 1984. Later on in 2001 Gavin and Rubin sold Naughty Dog to Sony Entertainment.
B) Operating Model:
Naughty Dog had many different jobs for people to help create their games such as programers, technical artists and localisation manager. As the company grew larger the company required an HR department.
C) Products:
Naughty Dog are known for some very big video games such as Crash Bandicoot, The Last Of Us, Jak and Dexter and the Uncharted franchise.
D) Market Position:
Naughty Dog is known as one of the best gaming companies of all time. The Last of Us became the 10th best selling game of 2013 and sold over 8 million copies by August 2014. By April 2018 the game had sold over 17 million copies and the game has won 10 awards including Game of the Year.
Whereas Crystal Dynamics released their game 'Tomb Raider' in 2013, the same year as The Last of Us was released. It sold about 3.4 million copies in 4 weeks and has sold over 11 million copies in total. The game had won 4 awards with 27 nominations.
E) Competitors:
After Naughty Dog got their big breakthrough as a large gaming company they had their competitors like EA, Activision and Rockstar Games.


Ninja Theory Company Profile
A) Ownership:
Ninja Theory was founded by Tameem Antoniades, Nina Kristensen and Mike Ball in March 2000 and the company went under the name "Just Add Monsters". They were acquired by Argonaut Games in September 2000 but later on in June 2018, Ninja Theory had been acquired by Microsoft.
B) Operating Model:
The head of development was one of the founders- Nina Kristensen. Team of 15-20 people before they grew to 50-100 people and have many more workers. They had an unsuccessful deal with Sony. Head of design and Technologist were founders.
C) Products:
Ninja Theory are known for making games such as Enslaved, Devil May Cry franchise and their most famous game Hellblade which was released on the 8th of August 2017.
D) Market Position:
Ninja Theory don't have many big game titles apart from the Devil May Cry franchise and Hellblade, which the won 9 awards for. Some of those awards included best game, British game, artistic achievement and some others. Ninja Theory got a 4.5 stars rating from Google. Ninja Theory's Hellblade had sold over 500,000 copies within 3 moths of its release and had sold over 1 million copies by June 2018. Whereas Naughty Dog's The Last of Us sold 8 million copies within 10 months of its release and won 10 awards for it.
E) Competitors:
Ninja theory have made games on many different consoles and platforms. In the PC market, Ninja Theory are competing with other companies like Tell Tale, Valve and Activision. In the mobile market they compete with companies like Zynga, Bungie and Chillingo.
